Before the pandemic, I had this very specific image in my head of how I wanted to photograph motherhood. Not just a regular Mommy & Me Mini session.
I could see it so clearly.
Sheer white fabric. Soft, glowing light. Movement. A sense of play.
I kept coming back to this image of a child peeking through curtains, like those old clotheslines kids run through while hiding. That feeling of being just out of reach. Of laughter. Of being in it, not performing for it.
Flowy materials. Bare feet. Simple dresses. Little ones in suspenders.
I’m weaving pale roses into the set, just enough to bring that soft, spring feeling into my Hoboken photography studio. Nothing overly styled. Nothing complicated. Just something that feels real.

It’s been seven years since that idea first took hold.
2019 feels like a lifetime ago. Life shifted. Priorities changed. And this idea stayed in the back of my mind, waiting.
Now, it finally feels like the right time to bring it to life.
A space for slow motherhood
We all know how it goes.
Your camera roll is filled with your children. The way they looked at two. The way they ran at four. All the small things you didn’t want to forget.
But when you scroll back, you’re barely there.

And if someone else is taking the photos, they’re usually not the ones you’d actually frame.
You were there, of course. You were the one holding them, comforting them, watching all of it happen.
But you’re not in the photo.
I created these Motherhood Sessions for that exact reason.
A space where you don’t have to think about capturing the moment, because you get to be in it.
To hold them. To laugh with them. To let them pull you in whatever direction they want to go.
These sessions are centered on the connection between a mother and her children and are approached in a way that feels natural, honest, and intentional. They take place in my Hoboken studio and are available for mothers and their children across New York City and New Jersey.
Living life, not posing for it
These images won’t be perfectly posed. That’s not what this is about.
Motherhood isn’t still. It’s not controlled or polished.
It’s movement. It’s noise. It’s closeness.
It’s the way they reach for you without thinking. The way they wrap themselves around you. The way you look when you forget the camera is even there.
That’s what I want to capture.
The studio will be filled with soft, flowing fabric, pale roses, and light that moves through the space in a natural way.
There is room to move. To play. To sit on the floor. To just be together.
I’ll guide you when you need it, but the goal isn’t to direct every moment. It’s to let something real happen.

The Invitation

These sessions are for the mom who has been meaning to step in front of the camera.
The one who says “next time.” The one who doesn’t always feel ready.
You don’t need to wait. You don’t need to change anything. You just need to show up.
Seven years later, I’m finally ready to share this.
Because you deserve to be seen.
Sessions are available on April 25 and 26, and on May 9, as a full Mother’s Day celebration, in my Hoboken studio.
You arrive, you exhale, and we celebrate.
